Our Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc has once again been put in the spotlight, and we are thrilled to announce our 2023 release is included in @wine_spectator`s list of `Top Ten Wine Values of 2024`.
"One of the most impressive Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand is this single-vineyard planting... The region`s cool climate and intense winds have been optimal for producing muscular Pinot Noirs, yet it turns out these conditions are ideal for Sauvignon Blanc as well, with the grapes` thick, wind-blown skins adding intensity to the wines..." Our Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc is a testament to the dedication of our talented viticultural and winemaking team, who take on extreme weather conditions - spring frosts, howling winds and long, dry autumns, to produce wines with aromatic purity and exceptional intensity.
Our Pinot Noir is deep scarlet in colour with a silky, layered texture providing interest and complexity. Handpicked from the upper terraces of our Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough, the 2023 release is elegant and poised, with evocative notes of lavender and sweet spice.
A delicious wine that is enjoyed in both warmer or cooler weather, and is a perfect accompaniment to our roasted quail dish currently on the menu at our award winning restaurant.
There are not many better pairings in life than fine wine and cheese.
Our Merlot dominant blend, Sophia, is beautifully pure with dark cherry and sweet spice, laced with subtle herbaceous notes, making it a wonderful accompaniment to your cheese platter.
