Named Among The Best Winery Restaurants In The World
To be included amongst the World's Best Winery Restaurants is truly humbling. As Nils Bernstein of Wine Enthusiast puts it, "you can't have a great winery restaurant without great wine."
When the Peabody family set out to build a winery that could sit amongst the world's best, incredible hospitality was never an afterthought.
Our Giants Estate in Hawke's Bay sits beneath the majestic Te Mata Peak, forming the very foundations of an incredible guest experience, paired perfectly with great wine.
Our award-winning restaurant sits by the lakefront, alongside striking sculptures by renowned sculptors Paul Day and Paul Dibble.
The organic culinary gardens are just a short wander through the vines, offering a plethora of interesting and practical produce - from vibrant heirloom tomatoes and rainbow carrots, to perpetual spinach, cavolo nero, and a huge array of herbs and salad leaves.
Led by the gardens and the spoils of the region, the menus are seasonal and generous, offering a relaxed yet refined dining experience. Changing regularly, find dishes such as kumara (sweet potato) pancake and crayfish tartare, and pāua (abalone) served with crumbed, green-lipped mussels and Champagne sauce.
But what keeps our guests returning time and time again is the genuine and authentic warmth of our hospitality across the board. Every detail has been considered to tell the story of our wine, our place, and our people.
As Wine Enthusiast puts it, a winery restaurant "mirrors the winery itself: obsessive about place, and determined to say something distinct."
We look forward to welcoming you.
