Harvest 2025 is officially complete - and what a vintage it has been!
Kicking off early on February 8th, this season brought both unique challenges and standout moments across Hawke’s Bay and Martinborough.
Now, with the last fruit picked, we look ahead to what this vintage will become in the cellar - wines that speak of place, provenance, and the people behind them.
Inspired by our 1,000-year trust and commitment to long-term thinking, each harvest is part of something greater for us. This vintage marked significant successes in our organic farming journey - stay tuned as we begin to share the stories behind the wines of 2025.
Originally from the U.S., Annika is one of our returning interns, bringing not only strength but also a genuine love for winemaking. Here she is doing one of the more physically demanding jobs in the winery - digging out Merlot from our fermenters, destined for Sophia, our Prestige Bordeaux blend.
She is one of yet another fantastic group of interns that bring enthusiasm, dedication, and skill to our crew.
A few weeks ago, we caught up with Chief Winemaker Ben and National Vineyard Manager Jono to chat through the season - one that has been nothing short of iconic for our Te Muna vineyards in Martinborough, where our award-winning Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc thrive.
A frosty but favourable spring, followed by a cooler summer, has set the stage for balanced wines with exceptional flavour and aromatics.
